Shiu-Ying Hu Herbarium
is a major asset to the School of Life Sciences and the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a collection of over 38,000 plant specimens, most of which were collected and authenticated by the late Professor Shiu-Ying Hu.
Our team is dedicated to continue Prof. Hu’s legacy in
documenting plant biodiversity of Hong Kong with specimen
collection, botanical imaging, GIS database, DNA tissue
preservation and multiple-characteristics archive.

illustrations for education and scientific studies.
